Which Newmarket meeting?
Helicopter charter to Newmarket runs throughout the year, because the town is a working centre of racing.
Newmarket runs two courses: the Rowley Mile, used in spring and autumn, and the July Course, used in summer. Newmarket is home to the largest cluster of training yards in the country, and our clients fly to the racecourses throughout the year.
- Betfred Guineas Festival: published as Friday 30 April to Sunday 2 May 2027. The classic opener of the flat season.
- July Festival: Thursday 8 July (Ladies Day), Friday 9 July (Festival Friday) and Saturday 10 July (July Cup Day) 2027.
Tickets for the July Festival were not on sale when we checked. Check with the organiser for the list of other fixtures.
How do landings at Newmarket work?
Landing is arranged with the racecourse in advance, and it varies with the meeting. The Jockey Club's Newmarket pages mention a helipad service for race days through a charter partner, but they give no landing details, so we confirm the arrangement and the slot for your date before you commit. Landing is subject to landing permission and site suitability.
If a landing at the course is not available on your day, we land at a nearby airfield and arrange a car for the last stretch. Flights from outside London are simple to plan because the town is on flat open ground. Our team monitors the flight throughout the day.
Whether a landing at the course itself is possible depends on the meeting and the day, and we say so plainly before you book.

Booking and planning
We run helicopters to Newmarket throughout the year, not only for the festivals, so ask us about any fixture. We need passenger weights, bags should be soft, and everyone arrives 10 minutes before take-off.
If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you pay nothing. For costs, see the helicopter hire price guides. Compare York and Ascot, or read horse racing by helicopter. For the whole season see the events hub.
