The short answer
The Emirates Stadium has no helicopter landing site of its own. For an Arsenal home game we fly you to a licensed London site, usually the London Heliport at Battersea, the Isle of Dogs heliport or Elstree Aerodrome, and a chauffeur car covers the last miles to the ground. Landing at any private site is subject to landing permission and site suitability.

Can you land a helicopter at the Emirates Stadium?
No. Arsenal's ground sits in a dense part of north London, hemmed in by housing and railway lines, and there is no helicopter landing site at the stadium that we can offer you. We would rather tell you that plainly than promise an arrival we cannot deliver. Charter-A Helicopter is the helicopter charter service of Charter-A Ltd, which has arranged private flights across the UK and Europe since 2011, and our job on match day is to get your party to a proper licensed site close to Holloway, then onto the road with as little waiting as possible.
The answer for helicopter charter Arsenal clients is almost always the same: fly into London, land at a site that has permission and facilities, and take a car. If you own or manage a private site in north London and want us to look at it, we will, but any landing there is subject to landing permission and site suitability, and the owner has the final say. Our guide to how UK landing sites work explains the permission rules.
Which London sites suit an Arsenal match day?
Three sites do most of the work. The first is the London Heliport at Battersea, London's only licensed central heliport, about 6.6 miles in a straight line from the Emirates. As published, it takes helicopters from 07:00 to 23:00 seven days a week, with core hours of 07:30 to 19:30 on weekdays and 08:00 to 18:00 at weekends, and extended hours by prior arrangement only. Our Battersea heliport page has the detail, and the Battersea Helicopter team have their own guide to the London Heliport.
The second is the Isle of Dogs heliport, east of the City and about 5.7 miles from the ground. Landings are pre-booked, weekday hours run 08:00 to 19:00 with a minimum of four hours' notice, weekends need 24 hours' notice, and some helicopter types are restricted because of the homes nearby. It is useful if your guests start the day in Docklands or Canary Wharf; see helicopter charter London City.
The third is London Elstree Aerodrome in Hertfordshire, 12.4 nautical miles from Battersea. It is a helicopter and light-aircraft field with prior permission required and licensed hours of 09:00 to 20:00 or sunset, so it works best for afternoon fixtures and for parties arriving from the Midlands and the north. Read more on our Elstree page.
The previous version of this page also named hotels at Enfield and Cockfosters and a golf club at Wimbledon, roughly 8 to 9 miles from the ground. Those are private sites. We treat them as questions to ask the owner, not as options we can promise.

What does an Arsenal hospitality day look like by helicopter?
Take a party of six from Birmingham for a Saturday lunchtime fixture. Birmingham to London takes about 40 to 50 minutes by helicopter and around 2 hours 25 minutes by road, so lunch can happen in a hospitality suite rather than in a service station. You arrive at the departure point 10 minutes before take-off, with a weight for every passenger, and fly in soft bags where the cabin hold is small. After landing, a chauffeur car takes you to the stadium, and you are in your seats with time to spare.
Fly the other way after the game and the main constraint is the clock, not the aircraft. Landing sites close, evening kick-offs run late and match-day roads clear slowly, so we plan the return leg before the outbound one. For a long fixture day we often hold the helicopter at an airfield nearby and fly home from there; that is a cost to agree upfront.
Fixture dates and kick-off times are set by the league and the broadcasters, often only weeks ahead, so please check the club for dates. We can hold provisional aircraft and sites while you wait. For groups of up to eight, the Leonardo AW139 carries eight passengers; the rest of the fleet covers smaller parties.
Who books Arsenal by helicopter, and why?
The requests we see come from three groups: companies entertaining clients, directors and owners who want a fixed, controlled day, and firms rewarding staff with a match. All three are corporate hospitality, and all three value the same thing: a day that runs on a timetable. From Manchester the flight to London takes about 65 to 80 minutes against around 4 hours by road, so an early lunch in the north and a late kick-off in the capital become realistic. Our page on business helicopter charter covers how we plan multi-stop corporate days.
For the car at either end, we work with Executive Global Travel for chauffeur transfers in London. If your day also includes a meal before or after the game, see dining by helicopter, and for other grounds see our football by helicopter hub and the wider corporate days out section. Other London grounds we cover include Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Wembley.
For a price guide rather than a quote, the helicopter hire price guides are the place to start. We do not publish prices on this page, because the figure depends on the route, the aircraft and the landing site.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a helipad at the Emirates Stadium?
No helicopter landing site at the stadium is available to us. We land at a licensed London site such as Battersea, the Isle of Dogs or Elstree and arrange a car for the last stretch.
Which is the nearest helicopter site to the Emirates Stadium?
Of the licensed sites we use, the Isle of Dogs heliport is about 5.7 miles away in a straight line and the London Heliport at Battersea is about 6.6 miles. Road time depends on match-day traffic.
Can we fly back straight after the final whistle?
Often, but plan it early. Landing sites have published hours, and an evening kick-off can run past them. We check the site hours before confirming the return leg and tell you if an overnight option is safer.
How long does the flight take from Birmingham or Manchester?
From Birmingham to London about 40 to 50 minutes; from Manchester about 65 to 80 minutes. By road the same journeys take around 2 hours 25 minutes and 4 hours without heavy traffic.
What if the weather is bad on match day?
We watch the forecast before you travel. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you pay nothing.
How many passengers can we take to an Arsenal game?
Up to eight in the largest helicopter we offer on request, fewer in smaller types. We need a weight for every passenger when you confirm.
