The short answer
Stamford Bridge has no helicopter landing site, but the London Heliport at Battersea is only about 1.25 miles away, which makes Chelsea the easiest London ground to reach by helicopter. We fly you to Battersea, a car or a short transfer covers the rest, and the whole arrival from the north takes a fraction of the road time.

How close is a helicopter site to Stamford Bridge?
Closer than for any other major London ground. The London Heliport at Battersea sits on the south bank of the Thames about 1.25 miles from Stamford Bridge, and it is London's only licensed central heliport. That distance is why Chelsea is the one London fixture where a helicopter day really can be built around the game itself rather than around the journey.
The stadium has no landing site of its own, so we do not offer one. For helicopter charter Chelsea clients the model is simple: you fly to Battersea, we meet you for the transfer, and you are at the ground in a short ride. Charter-A Helicopter is the helicopter charter service of Charter-A Ltd, which has arranged private flights across the UK and Europe since 2011, and we plan the Battersea arrival and the car together so neither waits for the other. Our Battersea heliport page has the site facts, and Battersea Helicopter publishes its own London Heliport guide.

What are the Battersea hours on a match day?
As published, the heliport permits helicopters from 07:00 to 23:00 seven days a week. Core hours are 07:30 to 19:30 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, with early, evening and late slots only by prior arrangement. Departures must be airborne by 22:45, and the heliport is closed on 25 and 26 December and 1 January.
That matters for football because kick-off times move. A lunchtime Saturday game fits comfortably inside core hours. An evening midweek game can push the return flight into the extended period, which needs arranging in advance and may carry a charge. Tell us the likely kick-off window, and we confirm the hours with the heliport before the booking is final. Fixture dates are set by the league and broadcasters, so please check the club for dates.
What if Battersea is full or closed?
We keep alternatives ready. The Isle of Dogs heliport on the Thames in Docklands takes pre-booked landings with a minimum of four hours' notice on weekdays and 24 hours at weekends, though some helicopter types are restricted there. RAF Northolt, west of London, takes civil flights at set times and needs prior permission; see our Northolt page. Elstree in Hertfordshire is a prior-permission field for helicopters and light aircraft; see helicopter charter Elstree.
The old version of this page listed Wimbledon Park Golf Club, about 3.9 miles from the ground, and the Petersham Hotel in Richmond, about 6 miles away. Both are private. Landing at either would be subject to landing permission and site suitability, and we would not promise it.

How do you plan a Chelsea hospitality day from outside London?
Start with the route. Liverpool to London takes about 65 to 85 minutes by helicopter against around 4 hours 15 minutes by road, which turns a long day trip into a morning departure, lunch in town and a fixture. For a party in Manchester, the flight is about 65 to 80 minutes; see our routes London to Manchester and London to Liverpool.
Arrive 10 minutes before departure, bring a weight for each passenger and pack soft bags. We confirm the helicopter type once we have the party size; the Leonardo AW139 carries eight and the Agusta 109 Grand six. A chauffeur car for the Battersea to Stamford Bridge leg comes from Executive Global Travel.
